National Preparedness Month

September is National Preparedness Month!

Throughout this month, we’re going to give you a behind the scenes look at  what Project:Camp does to help prepare communities, and offer some tips on how you can better prepare yourself and your family before disasters strike.

Following camp in Maui, the work of preparing communities in advance of emergencies seems even more critical. We saw how incredible the community response was in Hawaii, and it reminded us that preparedness is largely about relationship building so that when a response is needed, everyone is connected and knows their part.

In the coming weeks, we’ll offer some insight into how we forge relationships in areas that have a high propensity to be hit by natural disasters, and how you can support this mission. We hope that it gets you thinking about the importance of preparedness, and how we can all better prepare children and families in times of crises.

Follow us on socials and keep checking your email for National Preparedness Month messages from Project:Camp!

With gratitude,
Mikey
